A warm, sunny Sunday on Burton Dassett Hills. John and Colleen laid on cream tea and sandwiches, and Square Wheels people did what they do best: turned up, parked along the ridge, and spent the afternoon in good company.
Picnic baskets and a glass of wine. Tea and pleasantries. Cars in the sun, Warwickshire below, friends and family welcome — the usual mix, and none the worse for that.
Felix Scott-Copeland flew the hills for us. The film is two minutes of the afternoon as it actually was.
If you missed it, come next year. Same hills, same welcome. Look for the 9966 rally plate.

First time I have missed Colleens scones ably served by her grand daughters. The picnic falls on the same day a Warwick town square hold their classic car event hosted by the court Leet. I try and squeeze in both events. Unfortunately I was in Canada this year so missed both events and meeting up with freinds young and old. I did meet with Colleen at Silverstone a week or so prior under unfortunate circumstances though !
