Aston Martin’s first road motorcycle

The first two Aston Martin motorcycles were not for the road. AMB 001 arrived in 2019, the 001 Pro in 2022: track-only machines, built with Brough Superior, and sold like jewellery.

Gaydon has now done the obvious next thing. The AMB 002 Roadster, announced 9 September 2026, is the first street-legal motorcycle to wear the wings.

It is a new bike, not a 001 with lights and a number plate. Brough’s Toulouse shop designed, machined and assembled an 1083cc water-cooled V-twin: 130 bhp and 110 Nm, sat in a titanium backbone frame milled from billet and weighing 5 kg. The motorcycle is 190 kg. Up front is Brough’s Fior double-wishbone, which splits steering from braking and does not dive the way telescopic forks do.

That is the interesting engineering. The rest is Aston design language on two wheels: carbon tank, side-strakes, twin oval exhausts, light blades off the hypercars, leather on the seat. Marek Reichman has been waiting to put an Aston on the public road. This is that bike.

Three hundred will be built. Deliveries start in the third quarter of 2027. No price in the launch note; treat it as Brough money.

It is not a superbike. The 001 Pro made about 225 horsepower and never had to bother with an MOT. This one is a light roadster with mid-range torque, meant to be ridden. Collectors will still buy a slice of the 300 and never take the covers off. That is not the point of a Square Wheels story. The point is that Aston has finally made a motorcycle you can use.
